You may not know this or even have considered you would need this – but we all do. We all need a champion for our cause. Without a champion is can be hard to get to where we need to be or to get what we are looking for. In my experience over the past 18 years working to get money for people and businesses I can attest to the importance of having someone support your cause and help you fight the good fight.
A champion can be a broker, a bank representative or someone else that will work relentlessly to get you what you need. As each bank and lender has their own criteria for approving a mortgage or loan you need someone who not only knows the criteria but more importantly knows who the decision makers are and how to get their attention. For those that have not ever considered needing a champion the obvious question becomes – “Why is a champion important?”
With all of the rules, regulations and bureaucracy involved in lending money you need someone who can navigate the rough waters based on their experience and knowledge. Here is what you can expect to experience when you do not have a champion helping you along:
1. There will be a mystery to everything and you will feel like you don’t know what is going on
2. You will not see measurable results
3. Communication will be limited
The person helping you will never tell you they are not your champion but it’s also not their responsibility to tell you. People are people and this is why some are better than others at what they do. Make sure that you can validate for yourself the actions and more importantly the results of someone helping get you the mortgage or loan you are looking for. If you don’t think you have a champion working for you – get one.
