There was no drama. There was no systems melt down. Everything went as it should yesterday when Twitter went public. Great to see another success story of entrepreneurs that start from less than nothing and by virtue of that position are forced to bend their will and work against the grain to produce something that adds more value to the world.
Since I was young I have been captivated by entrepreneurs and my first two jobs were working for self made businessmen who created a great life for themselves by giving others jobs and opportunities. The first book I can remember that captured my imagination was “Forbes Greatest Business Stories of All Time” and from there I began reading biographies and the adventures of business owners who have shaped our world with their innovations and creativity. It peaked when I had the opportunity to spend time with Richard Branson and each day I look forward to the work I get to do in running my own business and helping others with theirs.
Good job Twitter and to all of the other business owners out there trying to make the most of what they have. Without entrepreneurs the world would be a very different place and we should celebrate with them when they experience the massive success that comes with taking massive risks.
“Entrepreneurial business favours the open mind. It favours people whose optimism drives them to prepare for many possible futures, pretty much purely for the joy of doing so.” – Richard Branson
