One year later…

mlenow.ca v2.0

It has already been a year since mlenow.ca was launched and I am pleased to announce that it has been given a new look and has been re-launched thanks to the folks at TalonX (thanks Nick – www.talonx.com).  While there is still a tonne of work to be done and a never ending wish list of changes to be made we are excited about the coming year and the prospects that mlenow.ca will bring.  We have some exciting partnerships to announce (stay tuned) and would hope that you would connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and YouTube to see what we are up to and how you might be a part of our story.

Risk taker, caretaker or undertaker

I was on YouTube the other day watching Rick Warren speak at a conference for church leaders (as an aside, if you don’t know who Rick Warren is you might want to learn more. Rick Warren wrote The Purpose Driven Life – now titled What on Earth am I here for? – which became the bestselling hardback non-fiction book in history, and is the second most-translated book in the world, after the Bible) and as he was speaking I was struck by a comment he made that I think is applicable to business owners.

9 days turns into 90

I was reminded today that in our business days turn into months without even noticing it.  I have a client that is seeking a refinance of a private mortgage and had expected to have everything completed at the beginning of September. It is now the middle of November and we will be getting our Deal Package out to lenders this week seeking a Term Sheet or Commitment Letter.
