God wants me to be successful

This is a concept that I have great difficulty with today. I am reading a book by Rick Warren where he uses the story found in Luke 5 to illustrate a point about God's hope for my life. The disciples had been fishing and had not caught anything. They had the boat, the skills, knew the area and were most likely surprised at their lack of success. Jesus comes along and asks to use the boat so he can teach the crowd that had followed him. He hops in the boat and they push off from the shoreline so that Jesus can begin preaching. Once he is done he tells Peter to drop the nets and upon doing so they pull up so many fish that they break the nets. I have to let Jesus into my boat then I have to trust Him that His plans are greater than mine and then I need to act without hesitation - let Him bless my life so much so that I end up being used to bless others (Peter most likely gave the rest of the fish away). I know Jesus is in my boat but I don't trust His plans which makes my actions my own. Time for a change.
