He feeds 5,000 then walks on water

This morning I am reading Mark 6:30 (Jesus feeds 5,000) and Mark 6:45 - 52 and am reminded about how human we are.  The disciples had just witnessed Jesus feed 5,000 people and then watch Him walk on water and get scared - in fact they cried out they were so scared.  I find it interesting that these stories are back to back in the chapter as if to highlight how quickly we forget that God is with us and is so much more than what our minds are capable of understanding.  I know that in my business I can watch God do amazing things in a single day and then get stuck with a few days of challenges that take my focus off of Him.  It is in those moments that I need to push harder to stay focused on Him and not get scared.  While I may not be witnessing Him feed 5,000 or walk on water I have the opportunity to witness Him being present and I can choose to serve Him in every moment and watch His works unfold.  Very comforting.
