We are all different

Last night was the first time I had ever attended a small group. There were 4 other men in the group and the 5 of us spent some time together discussing the first chapter of Daniel in addition to sharing some personal thoughts/challenges. I was amazed that the men were hurt by othe Christians and somehow felt that they expected more from the individuals that had hurt them. I was caught off guard as I have come to appreciate that just becuase someone is a Christian doesn't necessarily mean that they have better personalities and behaviours - they are still human. I also am experiencing first hand that not every Christian is at the same maturity level - we are all at different stages in our walk with Christ and as such need to support each other as we grow and mature. I hope to see the group next week and share these thoughts with them as I think the devil is amazing at creating distractions and as believers he uses our "brand" to drive wedges into relationships. I pray that our group is able to focus on what Jesus would focus on and I am sure that it would not include personalities and behaviours. We are all (even non-believers) children of God.
