31 days in and God is directing traffic

Just when it feels like I might have a handle on what is happening in our business, God's hand shows up and moves some things around. A staff member for almost 6 years has decided to move on as a result of some personal life decisions and feeling uncomfortable with being a part of our team based on changes made over the past few months. We started hiring staff again in the summer with our sights set on improving our service and our team. Change is hard for a lot of people and this particular individual was not ready to change with us. Interestingly enough we have been able to move very quickly this year on a few fronts and our environment has a new spirit about it with everyone being very excited about the coming year. My wife and I have made the decision to study a Psalm everyday and listening to David bring his requests, fears, challenges and praise to God has been refreshing for me. I have tried to focus on being a righteous individual and have been coming up very short. David is comforting as he reminds me that we are human and that we can come to God with all of our imperfection and that He will hear us and be there to help us. While He does His will, His way on His timetable, I can take refuge in knowing that I am not here to waste time - I am here for His purposes. As our business moves forward into a new decade I am looking forward each and everyday to the mountains that God will move and the opportunities He will provide for us to be a light in the world.
