Accept my words

Proverbs 2 - "My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you...then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God" It has been a few months since I have posted anything and it has been quite a journey. Mom and I are having a bit of a challenge right now with some sin that could tear us apart. This passage reminds me that I need to trust God that as His child all my actions are being used to contribute to His glory. Even in the midst of my sinful self - God is still working behind the scenes to have my life bring Him glory. Accepting the words of God and storing them require work. It is easy to forget that the Bible contains all we need to know and when I don't meditate on it my relationship with Christ becomes distant. Even after two or three days of not making a concerted effort to review a passage of scripture or reflect on a verse I notice that some distance comes between God and I. Lord help me to accept your words and store your commands so that I can fear you and learn more about you and your ways.
