Remember what counts

Today one of good friends called to tell me that he was leaving the mother of his kids and that he no longer had the energy to fight with her. He feels that he is not getting the acknowledgment that he needs or the recognition he seeks. It made me reflect on my own life and that at this stage - life is tough. Having a young family, limited financial resources and a never ending list of things to do life certainly can get overwhelming. For me, I am learning to listen for God and to try to live according to his Word. It might sound strange but at this point in life you really want to know that your feet are planted on solid ground. For me this has meant placing my feet on my faith in God through what I am reading and learning about in the Word. Golden rule: this life is not about me but what I can do for others while seeking to worship God. Boys - get over yourself and realize that you are here to help others.
