The dogs are gone

Three days ago we gave our two dogs away.  We had Zak for 7 years and had Zeus for almost 10 years.  Your mom and I made the decision months ago to begin finding them a better home as life for us is very busy right now and we felt that the dogs were not getting the attention they deserve.  I posted an ad on one of the free classified websites and we had several inquiries come forward.  The couple that took the dogs live out of the city in a smaller town and have two young boys are well.  They came by our house to meet the dogs before making the decision to take them.  It was sad but we feel that it wold ultimately work out for the best.  Part of me feels a failure and the other part of me is happy that our dogs might have an opportunity to gets lots of love.
